Advanced Neurology, Personalized Care

Burnice Mace, MSN, FNP-C, CRNP is a Nurse Practitioner at MirNeurology. She supports patients with neurologic and pain related concerns through thorough evaluation, medication management, diagnostic planning, and education. She combines outpatient neurology and pain clinic experience with a strong acute-care RN foundation, which helps her manage complex symptoms and coordinate care across settings.
Burnice earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University. She also completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Allegany College of Maryland. Her clinical strengths include neurology and pain symptom evaluation, primary and urgent care, chronic disease management, advanced wound care, quality and safety improvement, IV therapy and blood draws, staff training, and patient education. She holds Maryland CRNP licensure, RN licensure in Maryland and West Virginia, AANP FNP-C certification, and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC credentials.
Burnice’s experience includes leading and delivering care in multiple high-acuity and high-responsibility roles. As a Family Nurse Practitioner and infirmary leader in a correctional medical setting, she provided primary and urgent care in an infirmary environment, led daily rounds, coordinated multidisciplinary care for complex and post-surgical patients, built a referral resource for advanced wound management with strong healing outcomes, trained nursing and APP staff on documentation and seizure management and ALOC protocols, and improved patient safety and efficiency through workflow changes.
In an outpatient pain and neurology clinic, she evaluated and treated a broad range of neurologic and pain conditions, ordered and interpreted diagnostics, prescribed medications, managed multimodal therapy plans, and educated patients on disease management, test preparation, and safe medication use.
Her leadership experience also includes serving as Director of Clinical Education in a skilled nursing environment, where she delivered staff education and competency programs and led infection control and employee health efforts.
Earlier in her nursing career, she worked in hospital based roles across ICU and emergency care, including house supervisor responsibilities and high-acuity triage and patient management, plus additional long-term care roles that strengthened her clinical foundation in bedside care and patient support.
